I just hand painted this Daisy laser engrave and as you can see some of my paint has gotten onto the engraved part and I donamp;#39;t want that so Iamp;#39;m going to show you how to fix it Iamp;#39;m going to start by clear coating my sign with this Rust-Oleum matte clear coat and Iamp;#39;m going to do multiple coats of this here you can see Iamp;#39;m just giving it a light spray and once this is dry Iamp;#39;m going to lightly sand with 220 grit and Iamp;#39;m going to repeat that process a few times I ended up doing a total of four coats of clear coat spray itamp;#39;s kind of up to you how many you want to do it just needs to be really smooth and it absolutely has to be completely dry before you move on to the next step Iamp;#39;ve just got some watered-down dark brown paint here and Iamp;#39;m just going to go ahead and dab that in to the engrave and then when Iamp;#39;m finished doing that Iamp;#39;m going to take alcohol which is in this jar here and a rag and then

Font Type the fonts that most people use for plaques and signs are Cheltenham, Helvetica, Century Schoolbook and Times New Roman (see examples below).
We generally recommend using font sizes of 10pt and above for engraving and 12pt and above for scoring.
The different techniques used for engraving awards and trophies include rotary engraving, hand engraving, and laser engraving.
Classic examples of a serif font are Times Roman, Garamond and the font Cochin as shown above. These fonts are very well suited for commemorative plaques and dedication plaques as they have a more distinguished feel and look. Sans serif fonts have a more modern aesthetic.
Typeface: Sans-serif fonts like Arial or Helvetica are often chosen for their clarity and simplicity. Weight: Medium to bold weights improve readability, especially in varying lighting conditions.
If you are choosing a classic Gothic-style memorial, then you will need a complimentary font such as Times New Roman or Old English. For a more modern style of memorial, a simple san serif font would look more attractive.
Fonts like Impact, Arial Black, or Rockwell Bold are excellent choices for creating a bold and impactful engraving on trophies.
Font Recommendations - Century Schoolbook: This is a curvier, lighter Times New Roman. Its just as professional, but gives custom awards a fresher look without being too contemporary. Helvetica Neue: This font is a sans serif, meaning it doesnt have the extra points on the ends of the letters.
