That will make it lighter right and desaturate it. So what is the opposite of that right so if you want a darken up an ink.
Heat the tip of the pen with a lighter, or heat the pen refill in hot water for 3 to 5 minutes, then take it out, and shake it vigorously; blow from the back of the pen refill.
Just replace their nibs with one taken from a gel pen. Scribble for a while and voila!
Sometimes running the barrel of the pen under warm to hot water for several seconds may help to get the ink going, or, just keep writing and pressing down in circular motions- maybe making a few swirly patterns. But if none of that helps ? The ink has probably dried up. Just toss it out + get a new one.
Adding cyan to red, magenta to green, yellow to blue, and vice-versa, will also darken inks.
