Any color can be made darker just by adding some black. Be careful and add only one drop to mix at a time, try not to overdo it.
Just replace their nibs with one taken from a gel pen. Scribble for a while and voila!

Adding cyan to red, magenta to green, yellow to blue, and vice-versa, will also darken inks.
Sometimes running the barrel of the pen under warm to hot water for several seconds may help to get the ink going, or, just keep writing and pressing down in circular motions- maybe making a few swirly patterns. But if none of that helps ? The ink has probably dried up. Just toss it out + get a new one.
Example witch is often practiced: to darken orange, take umber + ultramarine (or cobalt) blue. With this mix you can get a color near black.
Heat the tip of the pen with a lighter, or heat the pen refill in hot water for 3 to 5 minutes, then take it out, and shake it vigorously; blow from the back of the pen refill.
Therefore, change your ink . I recommend using inks such as Parker quick and Bril ink . They are really dark and are lubricated inks. These are the inks I stick to and by the way, dont use cartridges as the ink is lighter in them but you can put bottled ink into empty cartridges with a syringe and use it .
