now there's a handful of different ways to darken images in photoshop but i'm going to break down three of the easiest and most beginner friendly methods right now so going in reverse order with number three as my least favorite but still a good option for targeting your images is the exposure adjustment layer now i've already brought my image here into photoshop and once you're inside you can access your exposure adjustment by clicking on the exposure adjustment icon within the adjustments panel or you can go to the bottom of your layers panel and go to exposure and that will give you the same result once you've created an exposure adjustment it will appear as a new layer and all of its adjustments will come up in the properties panel right here now with the exposure slider you have three different options the first is exposure which is a term i'm sure you're already familiar with which controls the overall brightness of your photo so if you increase the exposure everything will get...

There are a few different ways that you can darken an area in Photoshop. You can use the Burn Tool, or you can use an Adjustment Layer such as Levels or Curves. You can also darken an entire image by going to Image Adjustments and dragging the black slider to the right.
How to darken photo online? Press START to open Raw.pics.io. Add images that you want to darken. Choose Edit on the left to open Raw.pics.io photo editor. Find Brightness/Contrast in the panel of instruments on the right. Move the Brightness slider to make your image darker or lighter.
In addition to RGB, you can use an RGB color value with an alpha channel (RGBA) - which specifies the opacity for a color. An RGBA color value is specified with: rgba(red, green, blue, alpha). The alpha parameter is a number between 0.0 (fully transparent) and 1.0 (fully opaque).
One way is to use the Burn Tool. With the Burn Tool selected, you can then hover over the area that you want to darken and click and drag. The more you drag, the darker the area will become. Another way to darken an area is to use a Levels Adjustment Layer.
For example, drag the Exposure slider to the left to darken the area outside a radial gradient, giving the effect of a lighter spotlight on a subject inside the gradient. You can add color, effects, and other adjustments to the same radial gradient.
Just use filter: brightness(50%); for the image to lower the brightness.
To fix overexposed photos in Lightroom, you always start with the Highlight slider moving it to the left. Next, you follow with the White adjustment, slowly dragging it to negative values. In the last step, you use the Exposure slider to bring the overall exposure to the desired level.
just adjust the exposure slider on the adjustment brush to taste. You can experiment until you find just the right combination. If that doesnt work, then you will need to use another tool to complete your task. Maybe Photoshop, Niks tools, or some other editor.
