Although UNiDAYS does verify your student status, its not currently accepted everywhere as an official student ID if youre unsure, check with the organisation youre visiting ahead of time.
A valid student ID is a card issued by your university or college where you are studying and must also include your course dates; this includes a verified UniDAYS account. Please be sure to have the relevant ID available to show the officers on request every time you travel with us using a student ticket.
The Student ID is a 10 character field, composed of 6 digits, 1 letter, and 3 digits. Starting in 2017, the convention changed to a sequential number starting with 2, with the letter X in the 7th position (201234X567). The change in convention reflects privacy concerns, and reduces ID corrections.
The student card dress code may vary depending on your schools/universitys rules, but some general criteria apply. If there is a uniform in your University, you may have to wear it for your student ID. Otherwise, just wear whats proper for a day at school, but we recommend smart casual.
[Students] What is a student ID number? A unique identification number issued by some schools. A student ID number is issued by some schools as an identification number, unique to each student. Student ID numbers are also sometimes listed on an identification card with the students picture.
