Hey everyone, itamp;#39;s Bobby with the LycoBirds ID quiz for September 15, 2020. For context this photo was taken during September in north central Pennsylvania. So, on this bird we can see a barred tail and barred wings. So that, along with this distinctive bill shape, puts us in the wren family. So, there are three common species of wren at the location and those would be Carolina Wren, Winter Wren, and House Wren. So, we can see this bird has a fairly prominent eyebrow - or supercilium - so that pretty much tells us right away that this is not a House Wren. They pretty much donamp;#39;t have any sort of noticeable eyebrow. So, what about Winter Wren? Well they are a lot more compact than this and generally just darker.
