Right-click any selected cell and choose Format Cells. Click the Border tab. Click the thick, bold line, located in the Style section. Click Outline under the Presets group to encase the selected cells in a border.
Select the sheet by clicking the triangle on the upper left corner between column A and row 1. Go to the Home tab and click the All Borders drop-down arrow. From here, you have a few ways to darken the gridlines. Select All Borders to change the gridlines to black, thin lines.
Right-click over the cells youve chosen and select Format Cells and, in the popup window, click the Border tab. For a continuous line, choose one of the thicker styles from the Line box.
Click Format. On the Border tab, under Line, in the Style box, click the line style that you want to use for the border. In the Color box, select the color that you want to use.
Here are four steps you can follow to change the cell border color using the More Borders tool in an Excel program: Select the cell or range of cells. Open the Border tool. Scroll to More Borders Select a color. Open the Border tool menu. Access the Line Color settings. Apply the color.
On the Border tab, under Line Color, click the color that you want to apply, and then under Border, click the specific pieces of the cell border to apply the color to. Click OK. Tip: To apply your new cell style, select the cells that you want to change, and then on the Home tab, click Cell Styles, and click the style.
Click File Excel Options. In the Advanced category, under Display options for this worksheet, make sure that the Show gridlines check box is selected. In the Gridline color box, click the color you want.
