namespaces are a vital part of XML documents and of the entire XML world and so in the next few videos weamp;#39;re going to talk about namespaces weamp;#39;ll start here with what they are a namespace allows us to differentiate things that look the same the idea with XML is that anybody in the world can create your own markup language with their own tags well what happens when two people create the same tag well this happens every day in life even though we donamp;#39;t even think about it but think about this how many Bob Smiths are there say in Nashville where I live probably I donamp;#39;t know a couple hundred thousand now not that many but once I meet somebody who says heamp;#39;s Bob Smith and then I meet somebody else who says heamp;#39;s Bob Smith I automatically think a women thatamp;#39;s the Bob Smith who works for and you know some company or thatamp;#39;s the Bob Smith who plays guitar or something like that notice what Iamp;#39;m doing there Iamp;#39;m applying
