THE LAWTON CORRECTIONAL FACILITY CENTER IS OWNED AND OPERATED BY THE GEO GROUP, BUT THE COMPANY JUST ENDED ITS CONTRACT WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS. SO THE JAIL WILL LIKELY CLOSE. THE DOC SAYS THEIR DISSATISFACTION WITH THE GEO FACILITY OPERATIONS HAVE docHubED A CRITICAL POINT. THEY SAY GEO RECEIVED AN EXTRA $6.8 MILLION OVER THE LAST FOUR YEARS, BUT IT STILL REMAINS THE MOST VIOLENT PRISON IN OKLAHOMA. AND NEW.
