hey guys welcome to another log talk with dave weamp;#39;re here at the log yard and the home of the british columbia school of log building this is the current project that we have on the go here itamp;#39;s a 28 by 28 douglas fir dovetail log cabin uh weamp;#39;ve got a full stack of logs here we havenamp;#39;t cut any doors or windows in yet so itamp;#39;s quite a log barricade but the next step in the process is to cut the openings next week today in this video we want to take a look at one of my favorite features about this particular cabin is the han hewn finish that weamp;#39;ve put on the exterior of the logs now to be clear these are not authentic hand-hewn logs we didnamp;#39;t start with a round log and an axe these have been saw milled and then we have gone over and done a full treatment to the exterior faces of the log the interior of the cabin has still has sawn faces on the inside so today weamp;#39;re going to take a look at the tools
