The Great Temple of Amun-Ra in the site of Karnak, in the ancient city of Thebes is the grandest of all Egyptian temples. It was not built upon one complete plan, but owes its size, disposition and magnificence to the work of many kings. It is placed in an immense enclosure along with other ancillary temples that got built over time and a sacred lake, all surrounded by a wall 9 meters thick, and it is connected by an avenue of sphinxes with the temple of Luxor. you can see how the notion of axis and procession that was already established in the journey from the valley temple through the causeway to the pyramid, is transformed in this new building type, Egyptian temple, and in fact the procession begins long before you ever penetrate this big gate. We have an avenue lined with sphinxes, ram headed lion figures each protecting a small pharaoh figure between their paws, and before you even get to the sphinxes we see these two stone needles called obelisks over here, obelisk

The temperature sensor does occassionally fail in a gauge but this is not often. The most common causes of an Exhaust Temperature gauge not working is wiring or incorrect installation. If your gauge is erractically jumping around or measuring maximum temperature this is most often the cause of a damaged sensor.
The EGT indicator displays temperature measurements for engine exhaust gas temperature (EGT) in Celsius. This gauge displays values using both: A needle on a gauge. A major tick is (Maximum-Minimum)/1,000 degrees, a minor tick is (Maximum-Minimum)/200 degrees Celsius.
Exhaust Gas Temperature (EGT)
Properly installed EGTs that have not been subjected to any adverse operating condition can be expected to last up to 100,000 miles or more. For the recommended inspection/testing or service intervals, consult the vehicles operating manual.
CANDLE TEST With the EGT still connected to your instrument, hold the tip of the probe in the hottest part of a paraffin-based household candle. You should get a reading of 930 deg F (500 deg C) on your instrument. If you do, your sender is good!
One of the common causes of exhaust gas temperature sensor failure is exposure to excessively high temperatures over 900C in some case - the very thing they protect other components from.
After use EGT probes will sometimes experience whats called aging. Aging causes the measurement to shift a bit, 10 degrees is not unheard of.
