hello friends brennan here from bewildcreative.com and iamp;#39;m willing to bet that youamp;#39;ve taken a photo just like this one where the background is super bright and your subject is super dark so how can you actually darken the background of your photo to balance everything out and fix the exposure well in lightroom there are a variety of ways to do just that and i want to show you the three best methods now if you have a really bright background like i have here then your background exposure values are going to sit in the highlights in white so that means you can just use the basic exposure sliders here within the develop module to make those adjustments so for example i can bring down the highlights and then bring down the whites thatamp;#39;s going to darken up all that bright area for me and then to fix up my subject i can just increase the blacks and increase the shadows refine that a little bit to add some contrast and now our adjustment is complete now although simple
