How To Black Out Text in PDF Files Open our online PDF editor. Drag and drop a PDF into the toolbox. Click on the square symbol and select Rectangle. Set the color to black and resize it to cover text. Done!
To do this, navigate to Tools and select Redact Redact Text Images Find Text Redact. This makes it easy to identify and then black out that content throughout the document. You can also specify general patterns, such as phone, Social Security, or credit card numbers.
This behavior is by design because of a change in the Excel 2013 or Excel 2016 graphics engine. This change enables you to highlight overlapping selections. If you repeatedly select the same cells, the cell shading eventually becomes too dark, and you cannot see the text in the cell.
How to Darken a PDF with docHub? Open PDF in docHub and click View, then click Preferences. Click Accessibility from the left side and check Replace Document Colors. There, you need to choose Custom Color and pick the desired color for the page background and document text options.
Click the part of the PDF you want to darken. Edit the object with Photoshop, GIMP or another image editing tool that has options to adjust the contrast or change the brightness. To get there, go to Tools Content Editing Edit Text and Images and right-click on the page to edit in with your image editor.
