all right like the previous demo where i showed you you can jump back and forth between photoshop and indesign iamp;#39;m going to show you another trick that goes way back to the earlier days of quarkxpress one of the original page layout design programs that is now kind of on its way of the dinosaurs now weamp;#39;re using indesign and i want to show you how to bring in a black and white photo but apply color tints to the photo so iamp;#39;m going to go to open and in chapter 4 folder 12. iamp;#39;m going to open this indesign file and i just have a simple black and white photo you can see on my links panel itamp;#39;s a photoshop file and what i want to do is instead of have this being a dull gray kind of black and white photo i want to add little tints of color to it maybe a little bit of shade of brown like an old-fashioned sepia tone print give it a more nostalgic kind of look to it than this dull gray scale so youamp;#39;ll notice if i click on my black arrow click on the

tiff. A TIFF is an image file so it stores photographic and graphical data. You wont be able to edit the original file information without editing software, like docHub Photoshop or Illustrator.
TIFF allows for both additive (e.g. RGB, RGBA) and subtractive (e.g. CMYK) color models.
To open a TIFF file in Photoshop, go to File Open , locate the desired . tif or . tiff file, select it, and click Open . The file will open in a new window or tab, allowing you to edit and work with the image as needed.
Back in TIFF Image Printer Properties dialog, click the General tab. Click the Preferences button at the bottom. On the TIFF Image Printer Printing Preferences dialog, click the Paper/Quality tab, then select Color. Click on the Save tab and select Reduce to black and white for Color Reduction.
Procedure In Table of Contents, right-click the TIFF layer. Click Properties . In Layer Properties, click the Symbology tab. Check Display Background Value. Set the value for each band to 255. Set the background color to NoColor.
Once the file is uploaded, click on the Edit button next to the file name. In the editing toolbar, click on the Darken Image option. A new window will appear with a slider that allows you to adjust the darkness level of the images. Move the slider to the right to darken the images or to the left to lighten them.
Another difference is that TIFF files support layers, whereas JPEG files do not. This means that you can edit a TIFF file and change the order of the layers, whereas with a JPEG file you can only edit the image as a whole. Finally, TIFF files use the RGB color model, whereas JPEG files use the CMYK colour model.
The TIFF image appears black as the palette of shades the computer screen has is way more limited than that of the TIFF image (256 levels per color on the computer screen versus 65536 levels per color in the TIFF file).
