Cut is a stencil type family inspired by designs from two different historical periods. Its proportions are based on the forms of neoclassical typefaces produced in the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries.
The FontFamily property of a Control indicates what typeface the controls text should be rendered in. The value of the property can be the name of any of the fonts currently installed on the system where a WPF application is running.
The font-family property specifies the font for an element. The font-family property can hold several font names as a fallback system. If the browser does not support the first font, it tries the next font.
A font family is a set of fonts that have a common design. Fonts within a family, however, differ from each other in style such as the weight (light, normal, bold, semi-bold, etc.) and the slant (roman or upright, italic and oblique).
Many, but not all, fonts that start with C and come installed with Windows Vista (Cambria, Calibri, Corbel, Candara, Consolas, etc) have been designed to work well with WPF. In addition to these, fonts with robust outlines like Verdana, Georgia, etc display well on computer screens.
Custom Fonts in WPF Applications First, download Font Awesome, extract the ZIP file and copy fonts/fontawesome-webfont. ttf into a Fonts folder in your solution. Set the Build Action in the properties to Resource if it isnt already. Next, add a Style to the Resources in App. xaml.
