The names of streets, apartments, and states should also be spelled out. Additionally, all numerals under 10 should not be given numeric symbols, but have their names spelled out. Adults who are not romantically involved, but live together (example: roommates) should each receive their own invitation.
So you have to make sure that your guests physical address is properly placed on the outer envelope. Their home addresses should be placed a line below their names. Make sure to avoid abbreviations if you prefer a more formal invitation. If not, abbreviations such as St., Rd., and CA (for California) should suffice.
Traditionally, guests mail responses to the parents of the bride, or the host(s) of the wedding. Today, many brides prefer to handle the responses themselves. In that case, use the brides address. The same rule applies for the RSVP card return address.

Ideally, the RSVP by date should fall three to four weeks before your wedding. Because your wedding invitations should be mailed six to eight weeks prior to the big day, guests should generally have a window of about one month to RSVP.
All wedding invitations should include the following elements: Whos hosting. The request to come to the wedding. The names of the couple. The date and time. The location. Reception information. Dress code. Separate RSVP card.
Formal Addressing Rules for Wedding Invitation Envelopes Middle names arent necessary, but must be spelled out if used (no initials). Spell out all words such as Apartment, Avenue, Street, etc. Abbreviate Mr., Mrs., Ms.
