the iconic route 66 which travels from California to Illinois is one of the most famous road trips in the entire world my dad and I had been talking about driving it forever so we decided to make that dream a reality in June of 2019 the route is constantly changing and so I figured that this video series would be helpful for those that want to look back and see what the route looked like during this time period also note that I tried my best to get all the correct facts in here but I may have missed a couple this video is just a combination of all the state ones so if you want a shorter video you can just watch the individual states heres how our two-week journey went on route 66 to begin our journey we headed out to the Santa Monica Pier which has become the official end or start point even though route 66 actually ended a few blocks east for us it was the starting point of our journey as we were heading east and our end point was Chicago we photographed the famous sign and then made

The Beginning and End of the World-Famous Cabot Trail Baddeck is centrally located an hour on both sides from either entrance of the Cape Breton Highlands National Park.
Without stopping, you can drive the Cabot Trail in about 4 hours. But trust me, youre going to want to stop! We recently spent about 2.5 days on the trail, but you could definitely spend a week exploring (and hiking the 26 trails in the Cape Breton Highlands National Park). A highly controversial question
This is a great little place. You can go whale watching here and they also have a community museum about whales. This really is worth a visit especially if you have kids with you. The Cabot Trail continues over North Mountain and across the plateau of the Highlands National Park.
ing to the Cabot Trail tourism map, available at Nova Scotia welcome centers and various museums and merchants on Cape Breton Island, the entire Cabot Trail drive takes approximately five hours. What the map does not tell you is that this time is calculated without any stops.
The Cabot Trail loops in either direction, starting from Baddeck or the Trans Canada Highway, this will give you time for some stops. It is best to have at least 5-7 days to enjoy all of what the Cabot Trail has to offer.
One of the worlds most scenic coastal drives, it weaves around rugged headlands with spectacular views of the North Atlantic and Gulf of St Lawrence. Although you could complete the Cabot Trail in a long day, we recommend at least two days to enjoy all it has to offer.
The best place to start the Cabot Trail is Baddeck, the most southern point on the east side of Cape Breton Island. From there, you can drive counterclockwise around the island. Baddeck makes the most sense as its the closest point on the trail from Halifax (where youll likely be driving from).
Top 10 Scenic Stops Along the Cabot Trail North River. Ingonish Beach. Middle Head. Pleasant Bay. MacIntosh Brook Trail. Skyline Trail. Cheticamp. Bonus: Margaree River. The Margaree region, on Cape Bretons west side, features beautiful farmland and green valleys.
