recently i got a question about why the system is taking so much from the storage the system storage and so known other space is a big place of confusion for mac users but dont worry its not so bad as it looks i will show you that on my computer [Music] first go to the apple menu and select about this mac then click on storage first the storage is just generally split on used and not used then after a while it starts to divide up in sections when it does that look at the system storage sometimes it can look alarmingly big its over 200 gigabytes in my case wow thats almost half of my storage taken by the system there must be something wrong a lot of people make the mistake of closing it here and look for a solution but what you should do is to simply wait its still calculating i am showing you this in a real time and it really takes a while according to me apple should include here a small indicator or a message saying that it is still calculating how long im already talking here
