The Struers Discotom cut-off machine is available with Y movement and XY movement on the cutting table. 250 and 300 mm wheels. Today we are looking at the Discotom-100 which has the 300mm wheel and the XY movement. Before we make a cut letamp;#39;s first look around the safety features the safety interlock is located on the right-hand side of the hood. It is automatically activated once the hood is down and the start button is pushed. Whilst the hood is in its open position two-handed operation is required to prevent any chance of the hand becoming trapped. The XY movement is controlled using the joystick. The optional laser alignment tool clearly illustrates the cutting line of the machine. Another safety feature is the emergency stop button, located on the top of the machine.
