hey its brian tarion here from the disability digest ive got two tips for you uh as you go through the disability approval process to monitor your case and set your expectations um first of all the mail that social security sends out that mail goes to uh the disability applicant and will also a copy of it will also go to the disability representative that mail sometimes goes to both but not always it doesnt arrive at the same time uh commonly in my experience as a disability representative it arrives sometimes five to seven days later so that creates like this challenge and balancing the information and how you deal with that so one of the easiest ways uh to monitor your case activity is in your my ssa account and its where the information appears first so if you receive some activity favorable decision the denial its going to be in your my ssa account before the mail goes out and arrives so my encouragement is to monitor that check it every other day is probably about as frequent
