hello how are you Im McKenzie Im gonna be your nurse so its my understanding that youre gonna be receiving some blood today did the physician already speak to Im in regards to the blood transfusion we plan on doing today yes he did speak to me about it briefly and said that there was some consent that I needed to sign or something yeah so we do need to obtain consent basically just saying that youre okay receiving the blood Im gonna go through it with you Im going to talk to you about why youre getting it some of the risks that come with receiving blood and then also what were gonna be looking for as its infusing so to get started can you explain to me why you are receiving the blood today um its my understanding that I lost quite a bit of blood during surgery today and you guys are gonna be replacing that blood that I lost but would that explain why Im so fatigued and weak and kind of feel dizzy even though Im laying down absolutely anytime you lose quite a bit of blood
