hey everyone in todays light burn tutorial were going to go over the cut shapes tool again but today instead of utilizing cut shapes to maybe use a pass through with the print and cut feature in light burn what if you have a laser that doesnt necessarily have a pass-through but you still want to be able to make project larger than the volume of your laser today im going to utilize a interlocking shapes vector like this puzzle piece vector to cut out a large version of this space aztec calendar now im going to have to do a few things with that but the cut shapes feature will allow me to do this quickly and relatively easily so lets jump into it now the first thing well know is the cutting tools that im using are four separate shapes theyre all interlocking but all these lines have some overlap theyre not perfect so youll see some artifacts when i do the cut but theyre good enough to get me what i need so first thing that were going to do is were going to resize my puzzle

Different ways to crop your image The tag with object-fit and object-position. The background-image property with background-size and background-position. Image or background image with persistent ratio. Round cropping using border-radius. Complex paths of cropping with clip-path.
This can be done purely on CSS making use of borders. Keep note that height has to be half of the width to give the half circle. border-top-left or right-radius is the thing that adds the curve. So adding that extra +10 to it makes up for the space the border(which is set to 10px) creates.
We can create a cut corner effect with the help of CSS pseudo-elements, in the case where the parent element has a solid color background. An alternative way of getting such an effect is using the CSS clip-path property. As it uses SVG to create the shape, it reacts straight out of the box.
Style the cut corner with the ::before pseudo-element and use the content property required while using the :: before pseudo-element to generate and insert content. Set the position to absolute and add the top and right, border-top and border-right properties.
So what you do is have a wrapper div that has position:relative; filling the whole screen and then you position the div you want with position:absolute; . If however your site scrolls down you need to use CSS expressions in IE6 to keep the div docked to the bottom right corner.
Circular cut-out For a circular or rounded cut, we will use radial-gradient() . To cut four corners, the logical solution is to create four gradients, one for each corner: HTML. CSS.
If we want to cut N corners (where N ranges from 1 to 4 ), we use N gradients. All we need is to correctly set the size of each one to leave no space. We add it on the top of the radial gradient to get the following: HTML.
You can do this using a single element (plus a pseudo element) using radial-gradient background for the parent element while the pseudo-element creates the circle.
5 Ways to Crop Images in HTML/CSS Crop Using Width, Height, and Overflow CSS Properties. Crop Using object-fit and object-position. Aspect Ratio Cropping with calc() and padding-top. Crop Using CSS Transforms. Crop with the clip-path() Function.
To create a circle we can set the border-radius on the element. This will create curved corners on the element. If we set it to 50% it will create a circle. If you set a different width and height we will get an oval instead.
