This tutorial demonstrates how to easily cut a shape using the knife tool in Adobe Illustrator. The tool is located in the toolbar next to the Eraser tool. By selecting the knife tool and drawing a line through the shape, it can be sliced into different pieces. Adding a stroke to the shape shows where the cut lines are. Holding the ALT key while drawing allows for creating a straight line instead of a curved freehand line.
