okay so Im just using a fat quarter here and just like we prepped the fabric for when we were cutting strips thats exactly what were gonna do for diamonds fold it over Salvage to selvage and then in half again so the fold meets the selvage and now there are two kinds of diamonds we can cut either a 45-degree angle diamond or a 60-degree lets start with the 45 so now that its folded I can turn it over just following the directions first for the strips so lets do three inch strips so Im just lining up my folded fabric with the horizontal line on my mat and making sure my shape creator the zero line is also flush with a horizontal line on the mat then I know everything is going to be straight and then after that I can basically ignore the lines and numbers on my cutting mat and just pay attention to the channels on the shape creator so once Ive got my strip Im going to line it up with the 45 degree angle on the mat so because the strip is three inches I need to cut over in three
