hey guys epicentre Bryan here today is National Record Store Day and in honor of that I decided to put together a little video to show you how a stereo record cutting head works now the movements that are involved are very very small and the movements happen so quickly you really cant see them so I decided to rig up a little demonstration unit here and this uses servo motors to simulate the movements that are going to be involved in cutting a record and its actually run by an Arduino processor here and then theres also a knob in the center that allows me to change what section of the software is going to run so that I can demonstrate all these different movements and we can go over those before we start the demo let me point out a few things now first off the head itself would normally be mounted on a record cutting lathe and when the time comes to start cutting the head would be lowered until the stylus starts cutting a groove and then as the record is cut the head would be moved
