nothings worse than sitting down for the weekend to grade a stack of papers something that i used to do on those days is i would have my stack and i would generally look for the student that probably got most of the questions right to start with that one because otherwise usually the top of the stack is the student that probably turned it in last that probably wasnt as prepared for the test that was probably going to need a lot more written feedback and things marked and it would just set a precedent that oh it took that long to grade this one isnt going to feel that way for the rest of them so i would find one that would give me confidence and hope like okay maybe the rest of these will be just like this one even though generally i would just be delaying the inevitable for all the time that i would have to spend leaving feedback and marking things and letting students know what they got wrong and how they could do better or what they need to do for reassessment and things like that

Recent research indicates that class scheduling influences the academic performance of college students. Specifically, it finds that grades for early-morning classes are systematically lower than for classes held later in the day, all else being equal.
A one-hour delay in start times relative to sunrise increases math scores by 8 percent of a standard deviation for adolescents--the equivalent of roughly three months of student learning--but by only 1 percent of a standard deviation for younger children. The effects on reading scores are similar, but smaller.
Academic pressure and high expectations can create immense stress for students. The desire to excel academically, meet high standards, and achieve good grades can result in performance anxiety. Students may constantly feel the pressure to succeed and fear failure.
A students Section 504 plan could include: the behavioral supports that the student needs to address behavior interfering with their own or other students ability to learn, and a description of specific disability-based behavior for which the student will not be disciplined under the schools code of conduct.
Yes. 504 protection does not automatically dictate that a student will receive passing grades.
A well-planned schedule helps students manage their time effectively and prioritize their assignments. Additionally a good schedule helps teachers more effectively support students through the learning process.
The impact of the condensed schedule differs depending on a range of factors, including the number of hours schools operate and how they structure their daily schedules. Recent research generally finds small drops in student achievement. Staff morale improved under a four-day school week.
