To create an XPS file in Microsoft Word: Open Microsoft Word. Click the File menu in the top left-hand corner then select Print. Choose Microsoft XPS Document Writer from the Select Printer list. Click the Print button. Name your XPS file and click Save. Your document will now be saved under the .
There is no way of editing XPS files. You have to keep the original DOCX / DOC format file, do your editing there and then save a new XPS file.
Method 2: Uninstall XPS Viewer via Apps and Features/Programs and Features. Look for XPS Viewer in the list and click on it. The next step is to click on uninstall, so you can initiate the uninstallation.
XPS Document Writer is the default print to file driver that enables users to create XPS files. XPS Document Writer is pre-installed on Windows 10 and 11, but its not a programme where you can create XPS documents directly. Instead, youll need to open a document you want to create an XPS file from.
Remove the XPS Document Writer printer from Windows 10 using GUI Open Settings. Go to Devices - Printers Scanners. On the right, select the item named Microsoft XPS Document Writer: Once you have it selected, the option Remove device will appear under the printers name. Use it to remove the XPS Document writer.
Right click on the icon for the XPS Document Writer and select Delete. Still in Printers and Faxes, click File Server Properties. Click the Drivers tab. Select Microsoft XPS Document Writer and click Remove.
