A variety of fonts are permitted in APA Style papers. Font options include the following: sans serif fonts such as 11-point Calibri, 11-point Arial, or 10-point Lucida Sans Unicode. serif fonts such as 12-point Times New Roman, 11-point Georgia, or normal (10-point) Computer Modern (the default font for LaTeX)
Font size - fonts should be 11 or 12 point. Font style - headings and subheadings, if they are required (most essays will not use them), are usually formatted in bold and should be at least 2 point sizes larger than the standard text.
Font Acceptable fonts are Times New Roman, 12 pt. or Courier New, 12 pt. in the upper half of the page. Margins: All margins top, bottom, left, and right are set to 1 throughout the paper. Spacing The paper is double spaced throughout, including the title page, all quotations, notes, and the refer- ences page.
The writing should be in a simple, sans serif fonts (fonts that include small lines or embellishments at the end of letters e.g. Times New Roman) like Calibri, Arial, Verdana or Helvetica. These fonts reduce the chance of letters blurring into one another and slowing the reader down.
The best fonts for laser cutting are bold, have an even stroke width, and can be cut without losing internal shapes. Some good options for laser cut text are Arial Black, Impact, and Verdana.
Most assignment descriptions will specify that for visual clarity, and to ensure a professional appearance, you should use a plain, sans-serif font such as Arial. For readability, this should be in 11 or 12 point size.
Roman or Cambria. All papers should also be written with 12-point font. (Note: Times New Roman and Cambria are the default fonts for Microsoft Word, and 12-point font is also the default setting for font size).
