To deactivate a theme from the dashboard, go to Appearance Themes. This page will display all the themes installed on your website and show you which one is active: To deactivate a theme, you need to switch to another option, as WordPress always needs an active one.
If a theme is a parent theme for the active theme then you cannot delete it although youre not using it. If the theme is active on a multisite network. While its not active on one site, but its needed for another site on the same network.
Delete a Theme You Uploaded Visit your sites dashboard. Go to Appearance Themes and click the My Themes tab.
