hey guys chris here from custom cup woodworks uh today weve had client drop off a set of bar stools and they need to be shortened by four inches so i figured this would be a good time to show you how to make a simple jig out of some scrap plywood to uh go ahead and shorten your own bar stools or chair legs or maybe even get something done for a friend so stay with us and ill show you how its done so to get started you got to know how much you want to take off our stools were shortening four inches so i set the table saw uh fence at four inches from the blade and were going to go ahead and cut a couple four inch strips [Music] so now that weve got our four-inch cut were gonna bring our bar stool up here lets see here we got set our pieces of plywood wood nice and square straight up and down and get a measurement here and were going to go with inch and three quarters well take this cut an inch and three quarter well put it in there as our backer and then ill show you whats n
