Apps are among the top consumers of disk space on Mac. If you dont keep track of them, they might quickly become the reason your startup disk is almost full. Its easy to delete apps on your own. Open the Applications folder and move the apps you dont need to Trash.
Move or delete files Delete music, movies, podcasts, or other media, especially if its media that you can stream or download again as needed. Delete files in your Downloads folder. If you use the Mail app for your email, choose Mailbox Erase Junk Mail from the menu bar in Mail.
If you want to free up storage space, you can delete unused render files in selected events. You can also delete all render files for projects, events, or libraries. Original media files are not deleted, so you can always regenerate render files from the original media.
You probably have apps on your Mac that you no longer use, but havent deleted. These apps take up precious hard drive space and use RAM at startup. You can find and uninstall unused apps in a few different ways one of the easiest is through Finder.
