hi this is clay from the NMB Writing Center and in this video I want to show you a really quick and easy tip that you can use to drastically reduce your word count simply by looking for a preposition the word of and how we can remove it where it is unnecessary in our writing and the great thing is we dont have to read through an entire document like the one that I have pulled up here we can use the program of whatever word processor youre using in this case Im using Microsoft Word online to find all of the instances of this preposition its very easy you should have a find or a little magnifying glass button somewhere or you can use a hotkey ctrl F on an English keyboard on PC or command F on a English keyboard Mac and basically what it will do is it will bring up a navigation panel like this on the left side and we want to look for the word of oh F simply type it in and youll see its already indicating some areas where I have the word of in my own writing now there are 256 examp
