this problem asks us to find sketch and find the cutoff values for this given problem it says that we have thermometers that are normally distributed with a mean of zero and a standard deviation of one now let me pause there for a quick second as soon as you read these words and you see those words they are normally distributed three things come to mind and I mentioned this in a previous video we have a bell-shaped distribution we have a total area under the curve which is 1 and this bell straight bell-shaped distribution is symmetrical as soon as you see these two things not only do we have a normal distribution but we have a standard normal distribution okay letamp;#39;s keep going they ask us to assume that 2.2 percent of these thermometers are rejected because theyamp;#39;re too high and we also have 2.2 percent that are rejected because theyamp;#39;re too low now we need to sketch and determine these cutoff values well letamp;#39;s start with the sketch letamp;#39;s start wit

Statistical Analysis: In statistical analysis, a cutoff point is a designated point of division in a set of data. For example, in hypothesis testing, a significance level (commonly 0.05) is a cutoff point used to reject or fail to reject a null hypothesis.
Cutoff (cutoff value) The cutoff refers to the predetermined wavelength to be removed from a primary profile. A roughness profile is created by removing the long-wavelength component from the primary profile, and a waviness profile is created by removing the short-wavelength component from the primary profile.
A specific point in which all values below/above this threshold will be set differently, enabling the discrimination between contrasting groups. The clinical utility of a measure involves its ability to support a wide range of decisions that enhance its pragmatism and use.
Cutoff sampling is the practice of taking cutoff samples, where by a cutoff sample we mean a sample from which some portion of the population is deliberately excluded. Cutoff sampling typically entails omitting units that are in some respect much smaller than the units that are sampled, but this is not always the case.
Cut-off: The wavelength at which a filter becomes effective. For surface parameters we normally analyse wavelengths between an upper and lower cut-off: these are referred to as Ls or s (shortest) and Lc or c (longest). Cut off is also used synonymously with Sample Length as the sample length is always set to Lc.
A sample is a subset of individuals from a larger population. Sampling means selecting the group that you will actually collect data from in your research. For example, if you are researching the opinions of students in your university, you could survey a sample of 100 students.
In cut-off sampling, part of the target population is deliberately excluded from selection. In business statistics, the frame and the sample are typically restricted to enterprises of at least a given size (e.g. a certain number of employees).
