Everyone has their own way of preparing for a presentation. What do you plan to say? How long will the presentation last? The first thing I do when Iamp;#39;m ready to rehearse is go to the Slide Show tab not to run a slide show, but to work on my timing using the Rehearse Timings command. This mode lets you practice your presentation while recording the amount of time it takes to deliver each slide. See the little toolbar in the upper left corner? These timings can actually be used to run your presentation automatically, so you can focus on your talking points instead of advancing the slides. While in rehearsal mode, just click the Next button to move to the next slide or use the right arrow key on your keyboard. If you need more than one try to get a timing right, you can take a break using the Pause button and then resume the recording when youamp;#39;re ready. To re-record the timing on the current slide, just click the Repeat button and it will re-set the clock. Once again,

Add a Voice Over to Each PowerPoint Slide Navigate to the slide that needs narration. From the menu, choose Insert Audio Record Audio. Choose a name for the recording. Start recording by clicking the red recording dot. Begin narrating the voice over for the slide. Hit Stop when you complete the recording.
Its possible that the slide timings are set to advance after 10 seconds, which would cause the audio to cut off. To check the slide timings, go to the Transitions tab and look for the Timing section. Make sure that the After option is set to a value that is longer than the length of your audio.
PowerPoint, by default, is in landscape view. Since our previewer defaults to portrait view, this is why the document is being rotated or content is being cut off.
Select the audio clip on the slide. Under Audio Tools, on the Playback tab, click Trim Audio. To determine where you want to trim your audio clip, in the Trim Audio box, click the Play button. When you docHub the point where you want to make the cut, click the Pause button.
Sometimes your recording may stop working due to the following reasons: Audio recording permission is disabled. The recording settings are not configured correctly. The drivers for the device need to be updated.

Make sure the file format is supported. If you arent using one of the following supported audio file formats, consider converting it to a recommended format and then reinserting it in the presentation. PowerPoint can use the following file types: AIFF Audio file, .
