If the application in a container is configured to use a library that is incompatible with it, you might experience segmentation fault issues and see code 139 because the library the application is using doesnt manage memory in the same way as the application.
An exit code 139 indicates a SIGSEGV , or Segmentation Fault. This can happen due to code issues, issues between executables in the application and shared libraries/object files (. so files), or incompatability with libraries and the OS.
It means the program crashed before it exited. You need to debug the program. For example, you need to check whether the file is successfully opened after fopen . TL;DR: Your program tried to access a memory location it had no permissions to access, so the operating system killed it.
The namelist. input file is used for both the real.exe and wrf.exe executables. Within the file, multiplecolumns are used for multiple domains (nests) and the maxdom parameter determines the number of domains (and nests) to use.
How to Fix Exit Code 139 Step 1: Check the kernel logs. Segmentation violation events are typically recorded in the /var/log/messages file of the operating system that initiates the events. Step 2: Debug the Application. Step 3: Inspect Memory. Step 4: Add Code to Handle Segfaults Gracefully.
Exit Code 139 means that the container received a SIGSEGV signal from the operating system. This indicates a segmentation error a memory violation, caused by a container trying to access a memory location to which it does not have access.
