have you ever wondered what would happen if you removed your CMOS battery from your computer while it was running well I did so I decided to try it out to do this I fired up my test bench and tried to unplug the CMOS battery carefully after doing so it appeared like nothing happened this is likely because this battery really isnamp;#39;t responsible for much when Windows is running as its main job is to keep the BIOS information and the time while your system is off but if we did restart the system I bet it would be affected with all this said I wouldnamp;#39;t recommend ever trying this as you could easily damage your components if you accidentally drop the battery on your motherboard

You cant remove root user but you can restrict root user actions by using SCP(except Management Account). This is a complex process because the root user is the initial account identity that is created when you first sign up for AWS. The root user has full access to the accounts AWS services and resources.
For a Debian AMI, the user name is admin. For a Fedora AMI, the user name is ec2-user or fedora. For a RHEL AMI, the user name is ec2-user or root. For a SUSE AMI, the user name is ec2-user or root.
Removing access keys for Root User Sign in to the AWS management console using the account root user credentials. Click on the account name or number in the upper right corner and select Security Credentials from the drop down. Select the Access Keys section. To delete the access key, select the radio button.
The simplest method to disable root user login is to change its shell from /bin/bash or /bin/bash (or any other shell that permits user login) to /sbin/nologin , in the /etc/passwd file, which you can open for editing using any of your favorite command line editors as shown. Save the file and close it.
Enter the email address you used when you registered for your online account, and click the send button; you will receive an email shortly. Open the forgot password email, and click the reset password button. Enter your new password and confirm password.
To restrict use of the root user Require multi-factor authentication (MFA) for the root user as described in ACCT. 05 Require multi-factor authentication (MFA) to log in. Create an administrative user so that you dont use the root user for everyday tasks. For more information about configuring user access, see ACCT.
We recommend that you configure your EC2 instance to prevent root account logins over SSH. Instead, log in as a non-root user and use sudo to escalate privileges when necessary. To disable SSH root account logins, set PermitRootLogin to no in the /etc/ssh/sshdconfig file, and then restart sshd .
username: admin. password: SPLUNK-$instance id$ It is recommended that you change your password after login.
