Select Insert Page Number. Select Remove Page Numbers.
Double-click on the header or footer containing the page number. Highlight and delete the page number. Close the header or footer using Esc or by double-clicking anywhere.
Go to Insert Page Number, and then choose Remove Page Numbers. If the Remove Page Numbers button isnt available or if some page numbers are still there, double-click in the header or footer, select the page number, and press Delete.
Remove the page number from the first page Go to Insert Header Footer. Select Options on the right side, and then select Different First Page. Select Options again, and then select Remove Page Numbers.
If you dont want a page number to appear on the first page, select Different First Page. If you want numbering to start with 1 on the second page, go to Page Number Format Page Numbers, and set Start at to 0. When youre done, select Close Header and Footer or press Esc.
Click Breaks and select Next Page under section breaks. Select the header or footer on the second page. Click Link to Previous under the Header and Footer tab. Manually delete the page number from the first page.
Remove page numbers Go to Insert Page Number, and then choose Remove Page Numbers. If the Remove Page Numbers button isnt available or if some page numbers are still there, double-click in the header or footer, select the page number, and press Delete.
