The margins of a document are the white space around the edges of the page. Most printers can print to a half inch from the edge of the physical page. This minimum margin would be 1/2. There is no maximum margin as it would leave no printable space.
Different printers have slight variations in their print margins, sometimes causing the lower Continued to get cut off. Go to Document Page Layout and increase the Footer margin by one tick, from the default of . 50 to . 625.
From the File menu, choose Page Setup and then set all of your margins to zero. Your document will print across the full width of the paper, as long as your printers settings are set similarly.
Most desktop printers cant print all the way to the edge, thus leaving you with a non-printable margin. While the exact dimensions vary from printer to printer, the limit for most models is 1/4 (0.25).
The standard print margin for wide format printing is usually 0.25 to 0.5 inches on all sides of the print. Having the right print margin on wide format prints is essential for the quality of the final product. If the margins are too small, they may cause the text or images to be cut off or not printed properly.
Support Page Settings Letter PaperA4 Paper Left margin 0.75in 1.9cm Right margin 0.75in 1.32cm Bottom margin 0.75in 3.67cm7 more rows
If your printer cuts off the bottom of the page, verify the depth of the bottom margin. Confirm that the paper size settings match the legal paper size (8.5 x 14 inches) for both the document and the printer settings.
Most common documents only require a . 125 inch margin; however, larger documents may require a larger bleed area. The standard bleed area for documents larger than 18 x 24 inches is generally . 5 inches.
