To get the last N characters of a string in JavaScript, call the slice() method on the string, passing -N as an argument. For example, str. slice(-3) returns a new string containing the last 3 characters of str .
Approach: Use the rfind() function to find the position of the last occurrence of string W in string S. If the string W is not present in S, return S as it is. If W is found in S, remove the substring containing W from S using the erase() function. Return the modified string S.
The most common way to remove the last element is to use the `pop()` method. There are a few different ways to do this - but one of the most common is to remove it permanently. The other common method is the `splice` method, which modifies the original array.
To remove the last character of a string, we can use the Remove() method by passing the string. Length-1 as an argument to it. Note: In C# strings are the sequence of characters that can be accessed by using its character index, where the first character index is 0 and the last character index is string. Length-1.
Using the slice() Method This method extracts a section of a string and returns it as a new string without modifying the original string. Here, slice(0, -1) removes the last character because 0 indicates the start index and -1 indicates the last index (final character).
Using slice method Here slice(0, -1) removes the last character because -1 means the last index of the string. You can also use str. length - 1 instead of -1 to get the same result.
Remove last n characters from a string with substring You can use the built-in string function substring to get a string without the last n characters. const text = string; const n = 3; const shortenedString = text. substring(0, text.
The easiest way is to use the built-in substring() method of the String class. In order to remove the last character of a given String, we have to use two parameters: 0 as the starting index, and the index of the penultimate character.
