Resize a data label Click the data label and drag it to the size you want. Tip: You can set other size (Excel and PowerPoint) and alignment options in Size Properties (Layout Properties in Outlook or Word).
One way to solve this problem is to right-click the axis on the chart and select Format Axis from the shortcut menu. Then in the Format Axis task pane, under Labels, set the Label Position to Low.
Change the alignment and orientation of labels In the Vertical alignment box, click the vertical alignment position that you want. In the Text direction box, click the text orientation that you want. In the Custom angle box, select the degree of rotation that you want.
You can change the position of a single data label by dragging it. You can also place data labels in a standard position relative to their data markers. Depending on the chart type, you can choose from a variety of positioning options.
Remove data labels from a chart On the Design tab, in the Chart Layouts group, click Add Chart Element, choose Data Labels, and then click None. Click a data label one time to select all data labels in a data series or two times to select just one data label that you want to delete, and then press DELETE.
Right-click the selection Chart Elements Data Labels arrow, and select the placement option you want. Different options are available for different chart types. For example, you can place data labels outside of the data points in a pie chart but not in a column chart.
Wrap text, change the alignment, decrease the font size, or rotate your text so that everything you want fits inside a cell.
