The zoom percentage that the document is set to may cause characters to have the top or bottom portion of the screen font cut off. You can adjust the zoom percentage from 75 percent to 100 percent in most cases to correct this visually.
You can try adjusting the text wrapping by right-clicking on the cell and selecting Table Properties, then selecting the Text Wrapping tab. From there, you can choose the Wrap text option or adjust the Allow row to break across pages option to see if it solves the problem.
There could be a number of reasons. Check your margins, header/footer size and line spacing (text gets cut off if line spacing is set to a specific number of points and is smaller than text size.
Keep words on the same line Click where you want to insert the nonbreaking space. On the Insert tab, in the Symbols group, click Symbol. In the box that opens, click More Symbols. In the Symbol dialog box, on the Special Characters tab, click the Nonbreaking Space row to highlight it, and then click Insert. Click Close.
If your document is in Print Layout view and the top and bottom margins appear to be cut off, the option for hiding margins has been switched on. Heres how to switch it off: Point to the top or bottom of a page until the pointer becomes a double-pointed arrow, and then double-click.
Remove headers or footers Tip: Selecting any text box selects the header or footer and displays the Header and Footer Tools, adding the Design tab. Press Delete or Backspace. Note: If you want to delete headers and footers for several worksheets at once, select the worksheets, and then open the Page Setup dialog box.
Make sure that you are in Print Layout view. This is the only view that can correctly display the top and bottom margins. Move the mouse pointer to the top of the page, or to the boundary between two pages. If the mouse pointer looks like the one in the screenshot below, double-click.
Step-by-step guide to getting Microsoft Word back to normal view: Click the View tab. Select Document Views in the dropdown menu. Choose Print Layout in the Document Views section. Your Word document should be back to its regular view.
