hey this is a quick little tutorial on how to clean up the formatting that Excel does when you create a table um if we go into our home setting and format as a table and letamp;#39;s go ahead and select um this option here weamp;#39;re going tell it my table has headers so that it makes that the dark blue hit okay and weamp;#39;ll see Excel does a couple kind of funky things it autof filters thatamp;#39;s fairly easy to get rid of we go up to data and hit filter and it will eliminate that but this column one is a pain you canamp;#39;t hit delete you canamp;#39;t get rid of very easily so what weamp;#39;re going to do is rightclick format cells and then weamp;#39;re going to select custom weamp;#39;re going to get rid of where it says general and just type in semicolon semicolon semicolon and when we hit okay it should delete for us and it goes back to a nicer looking table without excelamp;#39;s Auto input for blank header header uh cells thanks a lot for watching I hope this

Another way to make Excel cells expand to fit text automatically is by using the following options on the ribbon: To AutoFit column width, select one, several or all columns on the sheet, go to the Home tab Cells group, and click Format AutoFit Column Width.
On the Home tab, click Wrap Text. The text in the selected cell wraps to fit the column width. When you change the column width, text wrapping adjusts automatically.
There could be a number of reasons. Check your margins, header/footer size and line spacing (text gets cut off if line spacing is set to a specific number of points and is smaller than text size.
How to cut off text in excel using LEFT function? To truncate characters, first select the data in a worksheet. In the next step, you will create a cell with the truncated text string. To truncate text strings, type the LEFT formula into the cell where you want your first result to appear.
Go to Home Cells Format. Under Cell Size, select AutoFit Column Width. Note: To quickly autofit all columns on the worksheet, select Select All, and then double-click any boundary between two column headings.
To enable the row to adjust automatically and show all wrapped text, on the Format menu, point to Row, and then click AutoFit.
Remove headers or footers Go to Insert Header Footer. Excel displays the worksheet in Page Layout view. Select the left, center, or right header or the footer text box at the top or the bottom of the worksheet page. Press Delete or Backspace.
Right click on the cell, select Format Cells Alignment tab and click Wrap text to turn on the radio button and click OK. You can change row / column widths and cell formats for multiple cells at a time by highlighting multiple rows / columns, then carrying out the procedure described above.
