this video will demonstrate how to perform a split of an existing takeoff within live count to perform a split simply rightclick on your annotation and choose split from the rightclick context menu in this example I have right clicked on a length segment and then I will choose split as this annotation is linked to my desktop estimating client I can choose either side of the point inserted to keep linked to estimating so in this example I will choose the left hand side which will keep these two segments linked to the desktop client while the remaining segment will be converted into an unlined annotation as you can see here this length is visually linked to my desktop client while the split annotation becomes its own annotation group with its corresponding totals if we were to split on a point no additional point is inserted as we saw with the segment and I simply choose either side of the point to keep linked to to estimating when working with UNL annotations the process is similar but
