What are cut-offs in maritime shipping? Cut-offs represent the time limits within which the goods must be delivered to the ocean carrier to be loaded onto a departing ship. Cut-off time means the latest possible time in which containers or cargoes of the goods can be delivered to a ship or designated point.
The DOC cut off: The B/L instruction (including container no.s, weight and commodity) is required prior this Cut Off, in order to insert same in our loading list. The DOC cut off is also called administrative closing.
The cut-off date is the last date that the container can be returned to the port terminal in order to make the schedule that you requested.
