Simply put, theres less demand for personally engraved watches, and as such, they tend to sell for lower prices. There are rare exceptions to this rule.
Using a high powered fibre laser, we can engrave phrases, dates or logos onto the various steel surfaces of our watches. We can engrave your message on the case back (Diver One, Diver III or Mayfair) or on the movement rotor (all NH movements - please note the docHubly smaller space available for this option).
Depth varies, with some engravings easily modified or removed by sanding or additional laser treatments. Chemical Etching: Applies corrosive substances to etch designs into the metal. Results in detailed, shallow designs that can be removed more easily by polishing or light abrasion.
When you Score a graphic, only the outline of it will be processed. When you Engrave a graphic, the closed area within the outline will be engraved.
One of the most common methods for removing engraving from metal is sanding. This method is ideal for soft metals like aluminum or brass, as well as for shallow engravings. To remove engraving from metal using sanding, you will need the following materials: Sandpaper of various grits (starting from coarse to fine)
Removing laser engraving from metal is possible. In some cases, you can remove the engraving or etching on stainless steel as well as other metals yourself. For other, more precious metals and precious or valuable items, it is recommended that you get the engraving removed professionally.
To remove an engraving, a jeweler has to laser off the metal in the area of the inscription to level out the texture of the metal.
If you want to cut, in the layers menu select Line. Line can either be a line engraving or a cut. If you want an engraved line, test for a low power fast speed. If you want to cut, generally you will need higher power and slower speed.
