Trim(Char[]) Removes all leading and trailing occurrences of a set of characters specified in an array from the current string.
6 Answers. Just use rstrip(). It will check the last character, if the last character is a comma it will remove otherwise will return the original string.
The substr() and strpos() function is used to remove portion of string after certain character. strpos() function: This function is used to find the first occurrence position of a string inside another string. Function returns an integer value of position of first occurrence of string.
To remove the last comma from a string in PHP, you can use the rtrim function. The rtrim function removes any specified characters from the end of a string. In this case, we are specifying a comma and a space as the characters to be removed.
Using replace() with a global regular expression To remove all commas, you need a global regular expression. The g flag in a regular expression tells JavaScript to replace all matches, not just the first one.
You may use the rtrim function. The following code will remove all trailing commas: rtrim($mystring, ,); The Second parameter indicates characters to be deleted.
Approach 1: Using substr() Function By specifying the start and length parameters, we can effectively remove the last character. The substr() function is used with the start parameter as 0 (beginning of the string) and the length parameter as -1 (which indicates one character less from the end).
Removing the last character from a string For the trailing comma situation, you can use rtrim($string, ,) . If you are in a real mess and end up with commas at the beginning AND end of your strings, you can use the regular trim instead of rtrim .
