A range is a collection of all the possible hands a player can have right this moment. Ranges exist both preflop and postflop, and can vary widely since tight players will have fewer hands in their range, and looser players will have many starting hands in their range.
A poker range is a collection of hands that would all play the same way. For example, when you raise preflop you will do so with AA, KK, QQ, JJ, and other hands these hands would be considered your range.
The CO (cutoff) is the name given to the seat to the direct right of the button at the poker table. It acts fourth from last preflop and acts last postflop (has position) unless it is specifically playing against the button.
A poker range chart has the pocket pairs running diagonally from the top left to the bottom right, with AA in the top left and 22 in the bottom right. The suited hands are above that diagonal line in the top left, and the offsuit hands are below that diagonal line in the bottom right.
The Cutoff position is the position to the left of the HiJack position and to the right of the Button position. At a nine-handed table, it is the sixth position to act preflop. It is referred to as the Cutoff position, as this position used to be described as the cutoff point between playing tight and loose.
In poker, Cutoff refers to the position directly to the right of the dealer or button.
The majority of 6-max TAGs play between 16% and 25% of hands. A player who plays 25% VPIP is often considered a loose TAG, while a player who plays 16% of hands is often considered a nitty TAG. The majority of full-ring TAGS play between 10% and 18% of hands.
In a multi-table tournament, the standard pre-flop raise is somewhere between two and three blinds (early in a tournament, when blinds are low, raises can be in the 5-6 BB range or even higher). Late in a tournament, effective stack sizes are smaller and every chip is precious.
