Using the slice() Method This method extracts a section of a string and returns it as a new string without modifying the original string. Here, slice(0, -1) removes the last character because 0 indicates the start index and -1 indicates the last index (final character).
The slice() method can extract a section of a string. To get the last character, use -1 as the start slice index.
In JavaScript, common approachs are to use the substring() or slice() , which allow you to extract a portion of a string based on the starting and ending indices. By specifying a range that excludes the last character, you effectively remove it from the string.
In this approach, we convert the string into an array of characters using the split() method. Then, we use the slice() method to get the last character of the array.
The easiest way to remove a character from a string in most programming languages is using the replace() function/method. var str = Hello World!; var res = str. replace(H, ); // Output: ello World!
The logarithm of any number consists of two parts: characteristic and mantissa. These two parts are always separated by a decimal point. For example, log 23.78 = 1.3762, and here, 1 is called the characteristic, and 3762 is called the mantissa.
substring(0, 1), for last character, use str. substring(str. length 1). Example: In this example we are using the above-explained method.
Using Regular Expressions Another approach involves using regular expressions (regex) to replace all characters before the specified character with an empty string. Here, we utilize the replaceAll() with a regex pattern that matches any sequence of characters (. *) followed by the target character.
