In the Final Cut Pro timeline, position the playhead where you want a caption to appear. Choose Edit Captions Add Caption (or press Option-C, or Control-Option-C if the caption editor is already open). A new caption clip appears at the top of the timeline (in a dedicated caption lane), and the caption editor opens.
Use the Transform controls in the Video inspector as follows: Position X and Y: Move the image left and right (X) and up and down (Y). Rotation: Rotate the image around its anchor point.
On the References tab, in the Captions group, click Insert Caption. On the Captions dialog box, click AutoCaption, and then select the check boxes for the items that you want Word to automatically add captions to. You can also choose which position to add captions to in the Position drop-down list.
Export captions using the File menu Open the project in the Final Cut Pro timeline, then choose File Export Captions. In the Save As field, type a name for the exported caption file.
Adjust and arrange captions in Final Cut Pro for Mac Adjust a captions position in the timeline: Drag it left or right. Adjust a captions duration: Trim the caption clip by dragging its start or end point. Roll the edit point between two caption clips: Make a roll edit using the Trim tool.
You can use the Roles pane of the timeline index to show or hide captions in the viewer and the timeline, and to change the active language subrole (the language version that appears in the viewer). You can use the Captions pane of the timeline index to view, navigate, and search captions in your project.
In Final Cut Pro, choose Window Workspaces, then choose a layout from the submenu.
Adjust a titles position onscreen Select a title clip in the Final Cut Pro timeline. Move the playhead over the selected title clip. Drag the text object to the new position.
