What size is a badge? A badge is displayed in Moodle with dimensions 100 x 100 pixels. However, we recommend that you upload a larger image, such as 400 x 400, as this is the size the badge is displayed if users upload their badge to their backpack.
The standard industry size for a badge photo is 1 x 1.25.
You can use the object-fit property in conjunction with object-position to adjust the area of the image to crop. The object-position property requires two values: x% and y% to position the image (the default position is 50% 50%).
25mm badges are the most common size of badges youll find. 38mm and 55mm badges on the other hand are the larger kind that youd find on the front of a birthday card.
Whether PNG or SVG, images should be square (equal width and height). For PNG, we recommend 400 by 400 px. Canvas Badges attempts to resize your image to 400x400 if you upload a PNG larger in either dimension. For SVG, ensure the image has a square view box.
Images should be sized to 281150 pixels, though Moodle will crop the image for you. Click the [Save and display] button.
